Music with notification

Just started yesterday, when I get an email notification music starts to play like a ringtone. I went into both my email accounts and turned off sound notification. This evening it started again but random. Running purity base off of 5.7.893

In addition to changing the setting for each specific email account, have you changed the master notification settings for the phone? Not sure how your ROM works since I'm a stock user, but notification sounds for me are under settings--->sound--->notification (where the specific sound is then selected).
