music shuffle repeats same songs

I'm a newbie from Blackberry. I've noticed that when i'm listening to downloaded music and have it set to shuffle, the player will randomly repeat songs before some other songs have even played. With Blackberry it would randomly shuffle through all songs without repeating. Is this a setting that i've overlooked?

It's because the shuffle is truly random. Well, as random as a software based RNG can be. You old phone's shuffle most likely specifically excluded songs already played be randomizing the whole playlist before playing. There isn't an option in the basic player to change this, but there could potentially be a standalone app that does.
