I know how to put music on my sd card but when i do start putting the music in it says i dont have enough space. I only have 2.5 gb of music anf the phone is new. So either im doin something wrong or the sd card is very small. Help!
When did you get your DX? If its been with-in the last month or two, it is likely you have the "newer" version, sometimes mis-labeled as Droid X2...meaning it actually has a 2GB sd card instead of the older version which shipped with a 16GB sd card.
3 simple ways to check which you have...
1) Plug the phone in via USB cable, select USB Mass Storage Mode from the Notification Bar pulldown...then when the sd card is mounted, look in My Computer on your PC..there should be a new USB Drive show up...thats your sd card...look at its size...2gb or 16gb?
2) Go to Settings--->Storage--->SD Card--->Total Space...2GB or 16GB?
3) Take the battery cover off...pull the battery out...pul the sd card out...2GB or 16GB?
How do I access SD card. I tried moving some of my itunes into Music Folder and quickly ran out of space. I assume I should be able to put Music/Pictures on SD card.
Tks everyone. This forum has been great as the manual is awful. I did have to go out and buy an 8 GB card (probably should have bought 16 but Costco only sold the 8) Great price - $18. I then just copied and pasted my itunes library over to the Music folder. For some reason, I had to do in sections as when I tried the entire library ( about 4 GB), it only copied a small portion.
