Multimedia Dock screen going dark

Hi all,
I have the Droid X multimedia HDMI dock from Moto/VZW. until this weekend, when I had the droid x charging in the dock the screen would stay on showing the clock unless (1) I turned it off/put it to sleep or (2) dimmed the screen.

Now it just sleeps the screen, I am trying to reverse this and don't know what happened can anyone please assist.

Fix

Go to Settings, applications, development, and check the "Stay Awake Option".

Unfortunately this doesnt work,...My screen just decided to fade out as I was looking at it,...no settings were changed.

Tried adjusting the sleep option and no joy,...anyone help?

There's a brightness button on the left side of the screen. I did this and I accidently hit this button. It's hard to see when it's dark, but play around with it and it'll fix it. HTH.
