multi touch keyboard repeated failures

i was using handcent but it was taken off that market and i was experiencing force closures non stop so i got rid of it and picked up GO SMS Pro. been pretty happy so far except at random times the virtual keyboard fails to pop up so i slide open the main keyboard and then i get a warning saying "multi touch keyboard has failed" i press ok and everything is fine for awhile.

its not that bad but its worrying me that its going to cause a serious issue or that it is a serious issue

suggestions? may just hard reset when i get home and see if it fixes it
