MR2 wifi tethering FYI

I am using MR2 and the plane jane rom. Barnace and wifi tether don't work anymore and a few others that I have tried don't work either. The only one that I have had any luck with is one called "open garden" but when you finish it leaves the wifi on.

Am I missing something?

Is anyone else having this issue? I'm about to switch the MR2 radio, but I use wifi tether all the time, I don't want to switch if that is truly a problem.

Wifi tethering is important to me too. That is why I have tried to get it to work perfectly. I used the open garden tether last night for a while. I downloaded 200 m of windows update for my laptop. It worked perfectly and was usually around 10mmps. I looked at opengarden.net. They have a map that shows where all the current users of the tether are. It had me one street over from where I actually live. I would try open garden with what ever your using now and and make sure your happy with it. Because it is the only one that I have found to work. At least for now. I installed wifi tether and it starts, but says it is incompatible.

Wifi Tethering is the only thing that's keeping me on froyo. I've been bored all day and fighting the urge to put GB on my phone and say screw Wifi Tethering. Then I start remembering how many times it's saved me in a pinch. I wish someone knew how to get it running.

I'm using liquid gs 1.1 with mr 2.5 radio with no problems running wireless tether.

I have mr2 and the plane jane. The only teathering apps that would work for me was Mobile Hotspot and Open Garden. I used Ti Backup to freeze the Teather guard apk. Now Barnacle works too.

Try downloading a different version of wifi tethering, that's what I had to do. Just look on the dev. webpage.
