Use DVDcatalyst 4.0 to convert your DVD's to your phone format, use act 1 video player to view on phone. DVD catalyst will transfer the movie to your phone through your charging cable if you plug it into your USB in your computer. I have used this for some time now, I have all three Lord of the Rings, Avatar, Stealth, Knowing, all of the Stargate series and tons more. You can’t go wrong with these two programs even though you will have to lay out some cash for them, it is minimal and very well worth it!

In my opinion, You just need to convert the movie format,
Video Download Studio will help convert movie format for Droid X.
The program can help you convert movie format to 3GP or MP4,
So that the movie can be played on Droid.
Get a free trial from Video Download Studio official website,
Hope it can help you more or less!

Vplayer is free, can lower/raise the brightness of the screen and ff/rw with gestures, plays most all video formats without converting them. Whats not to like.

I watch movies all day on my phone...
Got about 6 loaded on it now... DVD cat was a great buy

I tried DVD cat, everything was pretty easy to use. But after I converted and moved to Droid X, it would play, but without sound. Tried numerous times. Any suggestions?

A friend gave me two movies in .avi format, I copied them to my SD card and watch them perfectly

I use dvd fab, it allows me to rip dvds directly to mobile format (avi). Also breaks copy protection and allows you to remove all those pesky fbi warnings. Its also reasonably priced.

I have not personally used Double Twist, but have used HandBrake, and it transcoded Transormers over so I can watch it on my phone... Video and audio sinc perfectly...
