Motorola Releases Ice Cream Sandwich Upgrade Schedule

The wait is almost over for those anxiously awaiting Android 4.0 for their Motorola smartphone and/or tablet. The Droid RAZR crowd will get the first taste of the cold treat in Q2 while the Droid 4 and Bionic owners will have to wait a little longer and are looking at a roll-out in Q3. As you can see, the rest of Moto's line-up is receiving the update in Q3, but the Photon 4G comes in at the end of the line with a Q4 release. That's quite a long wait, but the good news is the handset will at least see the update.

You guys are way too nice. I always monitor my first love from afar . Of course I switched to the dark side (iPhone Forum a sister site). And to make you laugh even more justin82, they actually thought it was a good idea to make me a moderator over there. LOL! I must be the only mod for an Apple site that knows more about Android than iOS. BWAHAHAHAHA

Truthfully, Q2 for the RAZR and EARLY Q3 for the Bionic COULD very well mean "Last week of June for RAZR/first week of July for Bionic" - they do stagger the rollouts so as not to overwhelm the update servers.

Encouraging thing is the Bionic is now in "development", same as the RAZR.

I don't either. The only part I am interested in is that it is now in "development" - at least we know they are working on it.

Well it's good to see that you stayed in the network and came on board as staff btw I'll have a nice giveaway for the members over there soon. A Very cool case that guarantee's the phone against damage or you get it replaced free. It's not bulky like the Otterbox neither. Anyway this is Android land here. It's actually on testers handsets right now.

Past experience says, If Moto and VZW say Q3 then it will probably bet rolled out in Q4 or Q1 2013 so i will not get my hopes up for an early July release.
