Will this " devour" phone be better that the og droid

No the devour is more of a mid to entry level smart phone.

The Droid is motorola's flagship phone right now.

The devour has a smaller screen, slower processor (or the same), older version of Android (1.6).

About the only thing the Devour has is Motoblur for integrated social networking, if that is your kinda thing.

It seems aimed at the Sidekick type user (teens and young adults), hence the commercial with Ms. Fox. Though one could argue that she has multigeneration appeal.
