motorola droid 3 does random things on its own

I have the motorola 3 droid and it has been doing random things on its own. It dials numbers it starts going crazy going to different apps,when i go inernet google homepage it starts blinking and the words get real big . I did 2 factory reboots and even brought the phone to verizon but they said there is nothing they can do exept for me to purchase a new phone. it was a replacement phone i received in november but warranty goes back to the original phone that i purchased in June. I can not use the phone. I have to keep pulling that battery out and hope that it works. Verizon store said they never seen anything like it. Please any help would be much appreciated...

That happened with my wife's Droid 2G. It was the digitizer. Phone was replaced by Verizon. Likely the same issue with yours.

your insurance should take care of it..take it to verizon and demand a new (replacement) one..
digitilizer sounds like yessir
