hahah. Good one. I agree. I am rooted and have had 2.1 roms on my Droid. Would like the official one for the Droid, so keep the gossip coming.

It has nothing to do with me being bothered. It was a simple suggestion for those who want 2.1 enough to guess when it will be released for over 100 pages. I could also suggest that if you don't like my posts, you can place me on your ignore list. Click on User CP and on the left side, you will see "edit ignore list"

One of the reasons that 2.1 for the Droid doesn't come out sooner is the same issue as windows drivers. The Droid hardware is different than the Nexus One. Some of the drivers for the Droid may have to be tweaked for 2.1. Although you would think most 2.x versions would be ok
On another subject - slightly off topic...
I have seen several references to this thread being xxx pages. If you want less pages, I suggest you go to the "User CP" tab and "Edit Options". I have my thread set to 40 posts per page.
It does help when reading long thread to not have to switch to the next page all the time. However, it may cause more network traffic (but it is mostly text anyway.)

People who are whining about the 2.1 update, root your phone and install it already. That will at least hold you over until the OTA update.
