Mounted this today, when i get some more free time I will be working on splicing some cables for continuous power..

Also going to try and find a way to use the camera as a video camera, just have to work on some different mounting options. :icon_ banana::icon_ banana:

Yea I can see a use for the GPS but how you gonna take pics? Not only is the mount in the way but so is your shield.

Just remember the golden rule... no porn while piloting. :icon_ devil:

not 100% sure, i thought of designing a mount that would hook to where the mirror block offs are that was easily removeable.

Will not the suction cup work on the back side of the windshield?

Suction on the speedo will work for me too. Thanks for the idea.

Wind screen has too much curve I would imagine to use the suction cup on there.

I know how hard it would be to destroy any part of the bike but... what about cementing something like a round piece of plexi to the top of the master cylinder cover? It looks like that would even allow enough height when needed to tilt the mount up to get the camera lense over the wind screen.

At least a new master cylinder cover isn't all that expensive.

I thought it might work on the side of the shield where it's kind of flat, not really the front.

I have the same steering stablizer on my dirt bike. It saved my ass more than a few times.

ill check tonight but without some kind of bolt in place that makes me a lil nervous, where it is now it receives very little air flow.

I used to have one of those cheap USB stick looking MP3 players mounted on my bike. I made a little circuit from a board mount USB socket and a 5v. regulator and hooked it right to the battery. I then ran a 3.5mm headphone extension cord under my tank and it came up right infront of the seat. Then I put my earbuds in my helmet and ran the cord down through my jacket. You could do something similar for your constant power.

You could also probably make a little bracket off of the mirror bolts.

FYI, RAM makes something called an aqua box for mounting on motorcycles. I have one and LOVE it. Completely waterproof, but you can't use the camera.
