I'm still stuck in Moto Q-land due to a lack of cash right now. But I've looked at a couple Moto Droids now, and while I really like it, I've come to the conclusion that the qwerty board shoulda been designed more like my pic in the link above.

The Moto Q keyboard is actually quite awesome, and this vertical slider idea would allow for easy one-hand/one-thumb texting.

I just wondered if anyone else sees this as an interesting idea - thanx : )

Those style keyboards work well IMO only for one hand texting. In my experience, (BB Curve, BlackJack) those keyboards are too small for comfortable two hand texting.

After a few days with the Droid, the physical keyboard has grown on me. I'm getting better at not having to look at what I'm pressing, and not making mistakes.
