Moto Droid USB issue

Hi all, I've posted about this issue before and done some Googling, but to no avail. So I'm really stumped. My Moto Droid is not wanting to connect to my desktop pc, both the pc and droid act as if nothing has happened when I plug in the USB cable. No sync screen on Droid, no "Installing New Hardware" bubble in Windows, nothing. The funny thing is, when I plug into my laptop (also running Windows 7) it is recognized instantly and lets me transfer files no problem.

I have tried using different ports, a different cord, installing the Motorola 64bit drivers, all with no difference. So I am thoroughly confused as to what's going on.

Please help!

Well, nobody else will answer you and I own a Mac. Lets see if I can get some real help for you. Is your Droid Stock or rooted?
