The 5X speaker is actually a decent speaker, but 2 speakers are better than one right?! Developer sshafranko has ported his "surround sound" mod to the Nexus 5X. This is not genuine surround sound. It actually gets its name from the first mod that was released. The first device had a rear speaker so when the handset speaker and rear speaker were active sound surrounded the device.
This mod allows you to use both the front facing speaker and the handset speaker to give you more sound when playing music, videos, movies ringtones or whatever. The developer adds that these two speakers are not as loud as the two speakers on the Galaxy S6 but still improve overall media sound on the device! Install instructions are at the link below.
