If you root it you can use wifi tether as long as u have unlimited data I use it for my xbox360 and PC when my net goes down all games run no lag.

How would I go about rooting it... I just bought twelve months of xbox live and its going to be a long twelve months if I can't get a good internet connection.

Root your mobile and then try to use hotspot on mobile.
