MMS issue

I'm not sure what the hell I'm doing wrong...

Every time I attach a picture to a message, it adds it into a slide show. I don't want a slide show. I want an honest to goodness picture message. I tried making the picture smaller. That didn't do anything.

Is this some sort of bug? Im on the stock 2.2 build 3.21.605.1. I did root with unrevoked so I can do free wifi tether. I don't know if being rooted might have something to do with it.

I'm having this same issue and it's extremely frustrating. I'm sending picture mails (that send as a slideshow) to a user with a Droid 2 and he is unable to download pictures no matter what way I send them and no matter what size they are.. anyone have any ideas?

This issue has been discussed on the forum multiple times. I contacted HTC and they say they are aware of the issue and that many people have voiced concerns online. However, all they would say is that the concerns have been passed on to the appropriate department. They would not confirm if it would be corrected in Gingerbread.

When you send a pic as a slideshow it will show up as a normal mms on any other phone that's not HTC. Lately I've noticed that if you press the pause button that the pic will stay open. This was not always the case. I don't like it but at least the pause button makes the situation livable. To see the pause button just tap the pic after you tap the slideshow icon in the mms.
