I have always had about 4 homescreens that contained a lot of widgets and some of them got elborate. It was never a problem with non GB ROM's, but discovered it was an issue with GB. I went from 4 home screens to 3 and virtually no widgets...and using the packaged launcher, MMS apks & stock kernel. I have to say this is the best my MIUI has ever ran...even on FROYO versions...

So if your MIUI is laggy, look at your homescreen setup and try to scale down on the widgets and setup.

if you use google voice or any app for VOIP you have to enable 3rd party access to make calls.

under /settings/programs/call settings/ third party access

Hold down menu and press volume down buttons to take a screen shot.

One of my favorites: hold down the home button on the lock screen to turn on the "flashlight"

Long pressing a app and swiping through screens to drop it where you want.

I have to say this is the best my MIUI has ever ran...even on FROYO versions...

Agree to disagree! ;P But I will say it's the best GB release to date...

To change dock icons for your miui launcher

Yea, u need to theme the hotseat PNG image with the text dock of your choice.....this is located in the launcher apk drawable-hdpi folder

Just discovered a new one.
Take your Droid and fully protect it with saran wrap or your preferred plastic wrap.
Find an empty field or old quarry.
Make sure you packed water, you will need it.
Now, drop to your knees and take the OG and probe for a soft spot of earth.
Proceed to dig, take a water break when needed, then back to digging, lazy!
The trick is if you are tenacious in accomplishing your goal, you should end up in China.
I am Tapatalking right now from Tiennemen Square!
Airfare zero dollars, extra fee for baggage, additional fee for emotional baggage a grand, but it varies. There was no available space in the overhead compartment for all my emotional baggage. Of course there wasn't space in the overhead compartment because I was in a tunnel!
So I have a meeting with the boys over at MIUI about giving Mags a raise. Not exactly sure what time, as I don't speak any of the Chinese dialects. Just gonna wing it.
And by that I mean my contact at MIUI is named Mr. Wing.
