Missing Boot Animation

I'm having an odd issue. My Droid 2 (R2-D2 = Running Liberty GB v0.8) isn't displaying a boot animation. I've been using ROM Toolbox to try and change it, however no matter what I do, I only get a black screen for my boot animation. I've cleared out my bootanimation.zip files from both "system/media" and "data/local" and reinstalled manually...however this still changes nothing. I was curious if there may be a setting that may have been changed in my build.prop or some other file I'm missing.
