I'm trying to run vids on my tv from my S5 and my tv is a Samsung 60" Smart Tv (UN60H6300). The TV picks up video great but there isn't any audio.

Am I doing something wrong?

The wife has an S5 and I will see if hers does the same thing with the audio. It works perfectly fine with my Note 3. I have the F800 televison.

Great - let me know what she finds out.

I just tried YouTube and her phone connected instantly and played video and sound just fine.

I haven't tried streaming a movie video as we don't have any downloaded.

Not talking about utube, that's on the internet. I'm talking about video from S5

I will look and see if I have a movie on an external somewhere and give it a shot. I think every Samsung phone comes with an example video as well. I will check.

Any luck? All you got to do is record something, it doesn't need to be a sample video.

Yeah it works fine. I just tried it and I have sound on the video I captured using the phone's camera app.

That's odd. Sounds like I'll need to maybe call Samsung to see what's happening. thanks!

You're welcome! Which app are you using to play the video?

I use Video Player. I just got a new cable box yesterday for Contour & now nothing works for screen mirroring. Now I get the message that there's a hardware issue. Guess I'll give Cox a call.
