Minor annoyance with sdcard

got a 32gb sd card and transferred stuff from my old card to my new one, but ran into a lot of force closes. so i formatted the 32gb, but now the phone won't get past the "checking sd card for errors" notification. If i plug into usb, the "usb debugging" connected comes up, but it doesn't give me the option to mount the phone so i can transfer stuff from my old card. when i boot into recovery i'm able to enable usb mass storage but the card is "read only" so i can't drag drop or cut/paste anything into it. any ideas how i can get this card working?

now its becoming kinda a major annoyance hahaa...the computer wont read it either...the only way i can get it to recognize is if i boot into recovery and then enable usb storage. it shows the "32gb filesysytem" but it's read only. Someone help a poor soul out
