The individual Microsoft apps have been around for Tablets for a while now, but today Microsoft released Word, Excel, and Power Point for Android phones. You will finally be able to get work done without having to lug around a bulkier tablet. There has been a preview version of the Office suite available for the past 5 weeks. The biggest benefit here is actually being able to do presentations directly from your smart phone! You can find all of these directly in the Play Store.

I was using Word since the beta. It's alright especially if you are already pretty tight into the Office ecosystem. Sharing documents is just as easy as Google Docs as well. I still prefer Google Docs though. Easier to use and distribute in my opinion.

I don't do much "office" work from my phone and I generally remote into my work computer if I'm doing so from my tablet, so QuickOffice and Docs do the trick for me.

I do like this sign of Microsoft continuing to move in what I consider to be the right direction though.

This is brilliant by Microsoft and what they should have been doing for some time now.

About time. The reviews and comments are not looking good though.

I just read through a bunch of reviews for Word. Way more positive then negative.
I'm a bit annoyed though. My office uses Office 365 for Email. Technically called Exchange Online. So we're paying MS every month for Email. And guess what...I can't edit documents because we don't pay for full blown 365.
So...I could use my personal MS account and edit.

My Office is on 10. I am on 13.
ONLY our Email is hosted and we use Outlook locally.

You should look into just using MS directly.
They lowered prices about 18 months ago. Too cheap to pass up (for small to midsize biz) at $4/user/month.
