Microphone on d3

What kind of mic does the d3 have, I recorded my brothers band with my d3 last night and the audio quality is simply amazing, no distortion what so ever.

Once I get to wifi ill upload a few seconds of it so you can hear.

Check out the teardown from ifixit. I am on my phone, so I dont have the link handy but a quick Google search should find it. I recall them touching on the three mics (regular, speakerphone, and noise cancelling) although I'm not sure how specific they were.
