Messed up Droid....please help!

I have BB v0.4 on my droid and I'm using an ultra low 1.2ghz kernal and smoked glass. I charged it all night and it seemed very warm this morning. Now whenever I wake the screen up the red LED comes on and i'm frozen at the lock screen. It also says I only have 60% battery life when I should have 100. I already tried a battery pull also, it didn't do anything.

Edit: I am now in Recovery Mode with the original update to BB v0.4 on my SD Card, should i still create a backup even if this is what i'd have to back up to?

can you power off and boot into recovery? sounds like u need a higher voltage kernel

Yes I'm in recovery, should i just apply a higher voltage kernal?

yea thats the first thing i would try

usually the system will freeze if using a low voltage kernel

Even when I turn the phone off the Red LED stays on and flashes on and of somewhat at least...
