Be the first on your block to run the R2D2 D2 release.
Requires root, requires that you make a freakin' nandroid backup of your current setup before installing it (or you're a doofus), requires you follow install instructions accurately, and requires that you report your findings/results.
Charging up my phone to give it a try. Want to be at minimum 80%.
One guy had a boot loop, so it may not work w/out some tweaking...I saw some files in the zip that have 720p in them, so who knows what kinds of tweaks are in it that may not be compatible w/the non-R2D2 D2.
I may not be able to do it tonight...getting late and I have a 6AM call tomorrow and need my phone to be working for it.
Swype won't swype - only works if I type - anyone else?
Tried removing the swype version installed w/this release and then installing the swype.apk from the D2 system dump, that version won't swype either...someone better figure this out, or I'm never gonna be able to use this release.

If anyone is interested...I removed all the Stars Wars stuff from the ROM and replaced with it original D2 stuff. I am/was a huge stars wars fan but even this is a bit cheesey at time I can post it later if anyone wants it.
I did have a problem when I first installed r2d2 but it was fault by not mounting system. I am still use to the Original Droid and SPRecovery
Anyone notice their WiFi behaving better? In 2.3.1.5 my wifi did not reconnecto to my home wireless router many times coming back from sleep but now it seems to be solid once again...
