MAXX hard reset ?

Just a real quick question, I'm going to factory reset my maxx in hopes of improving battery life. When I do the hard reset should the battery be 100%fully charged? I actually don't know how to do the reset but that should be easy to google, the info on battery charge probably won't show up in a google search so here I am. Ty in advance.

Goto privacy in setting and to do a factory reset is in there. Just make sure you have over 50 percent on the phone and if you want have it plugged in wall outlet but not required if you have enough battery power but i like to do it anyways.
