Max cpu temps for overclocking?

I currently use milestone overclocker and can get up to 1Ghz fine, but after a while it gets warm. I use a heat sensor and it gets up to 43C. I checked moto's website and it said no more than 45C but I'm sure they do that for a big lean way for law suits. So what temp do you run at for overclocking? And what temp is too hot? Thanks.

My D1 got up to 120F and stopped charging while on a road trip. It was in the sun, charging, doing turn by turn GPS navigation which probably all contributed to the temp going up. I realized the battery was almost dead and finally figured out it was due to the temp. At the time I had been, and continued to run, at a max oc speed of 1.1ghz. My phone ran at that speed for months.

SetCPU defaults (when setting up profiles) to temps over 50c (122F) causing it to lower CPU speeds.

Currently I'm on a kernel that maxes out at 800mhz.

Your battery will probably determine your limits well before your processor ever does.
