marshmellow update?

It's on the Motorola Software Update website as it will get it. But they never publish dates, ever

We'll get right after the "NIPS" ( OS 7 ) comes out ! I like the ones with chocolate inside!

Dear Friends; talking about marshmallow on the Droid Turbo 1 I posed a question in this forum; my droid turbo is unlocked (bought from the USA and now using it in Europe with Vodafone); will I get the upgrade to Marshmallow? Someone told me that the upgrade would brick the phone...please could you explain to me? Thanks

It's on the update list to receive it. How will it brick your phone?

I don't know!! They say that without Verizon (the original phone provider) I could brick the phone because the software update works with that provider...I don't understand...could you help me, helping in understanding where is the truth?

The potential is always there to brick. I'm not sure how overseas gets updates when they aren't on the VZW network. You may need to wait until the source files are released, if ever and flash with ADB.

He no longer uses VZW. He is with Vodafone now...
Yes, so how does he get an image from Motorola for a Verizon phone, not on Verizon anymore?

This is what I mean.

Update the software

To check for available updates wirelessly/over-the-air:

  1. Touch

  2. Touch Settings
  3. Touch About phone
  4. Touch System updates
Unless Vodaphone has the updates on their system, doing that check won't do anything.

Vodafone may do the update. If not perhaps contacting Moto may get him the update...

All my phones are unlocked international phones and I get the update directly from the manufacturer.
