Market disappeared after update

I recently updated my Droid X with the newest software I believe 2.2? But once it installed it says that my market is not installed. I read somewhere that the only way to get it back is to do a factory reset, but there has to be another way right? Any suggestions??? Thanks for the help!!

make sure you are using the shortcut in the app drawer and not the one on your desktop. sometimes there are issues with desktop shortcuts after updates.

I had this same issue when I did the 2.2 update, just yesterday (12-21-10) I downloaded the new Version 2.3.340.MB810.Verizon.en US update and my Market app was there again. Good thing because I was searching ALL over these forums to get that back and I was about to re-stage my Droid X.
