Maps showing me in Japan!?!?

So I awoke to my phone saying I was outside of Tokyo, Japan. I live in montclair, nj. My weather app says the same thing. Does this mean my phone got hijacked or something?

You need to set your location. Default is probably "my location" which needs GPS turned on to work well. Go to Settings/Location & Security/ upper portion of screen are selections for "my location," select at least one of the top three choices and map/weather programs should be OK.
