Low On Space Message

Hi all,


I am getting in my notifications a message that says

"Phone storage is getting low"

What is the best way for me to correct this?

Depending on what type of phone....make sure you delete unwanted messages and clean your cashe out. If you have an SD card try moving stuff like apps and pictures to that to make room on your phone.

sorry...but how do I move stuff off the phone and onto the SD card?

Are you rooted?

sure am! I am roooted
I went to Manage applications....all my "move to sd card" buttons are greyed out when I go to a specific app...

guess there is another way?

Running a custom ROM? Or just rooted stock? I'm assuming you're on 2.2. :)

If it's a custom ROM you might be able to enable the "move all apps to SD" feature before following the next paragraph. If it's rooted stock then look in the market for an app called apps2sd. Follow the instructions in the app if there are any.

Or, and this really bites, go to Settings> Applications> Manage> All tab> check every single app you can to see what can be moved to the SD card. In fact, you're probably better off hitting the menu softkey and telling the phone to sort the apps by size and move the largest that you can to the SD card.

It is a custom rom.......how do I enable the move all apps to sd?

EDIT..I tried like you said Settings> Applications> Manage> All tab> all of my move to sd buttons are greyed out...I can't move any to sd card

I went to the market and got app 2sd...everything is fine now...
