looking to get a new android model phone, need suggestions.

I have had my original Droid for just about a year now and am looking to get a new one. Which phone on the android platform would you recommend, I am using Verizon. I find the droid I have now to be a little sluggish.

Is it a good time to get a new phone or should I wait a few months, I am not sure what phones are comming in the next few months.

It's a horrible time to upgrade a Droid to a newer Droid (IMHO). Some seriously nice phones are coming.
If you feel your original Droid is sluggish have you rooted and installed an overclocking kernel and ramped up the speed? Maybe removed/deleted some apps you don't really use?

Tegra 2 phones will be hitting soon, LTE phones, etc..... I would definitely wait.
