Looking for "how to" information

I'm a "little old lady" who loves electronic gadgets. Have had my Droid X for about a year. Coming from a little clamshell, I am delighted with what I can do with it. Have downloaded tons of apps, internet connection, email, etc.
Want to do even more and I am frustrated by Verizon's lack of knowledge. I am sure the users know more than Verizon. That's why I'm here! Will look around for a forum to post the specifics.
