I am looking for a copy of Base Froyo 2.2 for my HTC Incredible.. i have found a version that has the Sense already built in.. i want base droid.. no HTC Sense. I have found custom versions like Skyrider 2.5 that has no HTC, but has alot of other things..

anyone know where i could find a download of Froyo 2.2 Vanilla?

The only true vanilla Froyo ROM is CyanogenMod 6.

I suppose they're going to start releasing the unofficial one soon. I'm not holding my breath though.
This one apparently doesn't require a root, I think?

The official release is moving. The update has been put on the service page for the Incredible on the actual Verizon website. This isn't a rumor this time.
