Lock screen shortcuts

Okay, HTC guy here so be gentle. My kid got an M for Christmas. We have tried everything and had no luck. We use a different sms program and he wants it on his unlock screen instead of the native one. Is there any way to change it?

Go Launcher. You can add any lock screen they have with it. Assuming with it you can add what you want on the lock screen but I always used the native text messaging. Easy enough to try out, as you can switch back and forth between the launchers by hitting the home button. TO stop Go altogether you have to into their Preferences or just delete the App.
I'll look to see it you can change the native Homescreen locker.

He is trying it out now. Sense let's you change any of those short cuts so it was frustrating not to be able to do it. Btw, we are trying to put handcent on as his text app shortcut

You need to tap on the "personalize" button. Select display from the tabs on the bottom. The option for screen shortcuts is there.

My bad, thought you meant the rezound. The personalize button is HTC specific I believe. You were talking about the Motorola M right? I would say if its stock, with the lock screen shortcuts, maybe settings > display and see if it is in there. Hope that works and I'm sorry for the confusion. Good luck!

Check the Forum the post is posted to :) Thus why I don't like forums with "new posts" sections :)But I'll get grief while those that post "do a search" will be commended ;)
