Lock pictures? and Backup assistant not working

I am a new Droid 2 global user...and not all that techy...so any help would be appreciated. thought I would do two questions for the price of one!! lol!

Can you lock a picture? I mean so it cannot be accidently deleted. I looked through the manual and I can't seem to see how...

Also the last couple days my backup assistant (verizon customer here) has not been working. I wake up and it has a little orange triangle stating that the backup assistant failed. I can go in under settings, backup assistant and do a sync and it works. Any ideas?

Don't think you can lock a pic. As far as backup assistant, it may be an android issue (froyo), but go to accounts and make sure the sync is working. Whether you want to keep auto sync on is your prerogative.
