hello thread. i need help switching out my cracked screen on my Thunderbolt HTC. After we changed it out my screen is black. it powers up because i can hear it loading up but i do not have a screen. we took it apart and put it back together twice. followed instructions to the T! help please

There are several possible reasons for the new screen failure. Any of the screen connections could be slightly crooked or not inserted fully into the jack, or the ZIF connector jacks may not be fully closed properly . The ribbons that connect the screen to the jacks on the motherboard could be cracked from bending. The new screen could be defective. Damage could have occurred to the motherboard due to static electricity while handling the phone during the repair. I know this is frustrating but you could try the old display again to see if your new screen could be bad.
