link phone app with slider

New to Android, please bear with me. Is there any way to link the Dialer to opening the keyboard?

You'll have to be more specific, do you want the keyboard to pop up when you open the dialer app?? I think you can get it to show up just by tapping in the search field or by pressing the search button.

Actually, I'd really like the phone/dialer app to automatically load when I physically pop out the tactile keyboard/qwerty slider. Like an old fashioned clamshell cell phone. I'd like it to just automatically be ready to dial out when the shell is opened.
