LG Vortex Access Trash Folder

Apologies in advance for the newbie question.

We have an LG Vortex for one of our Droid phones. Thumbs up on it as far as usage, battery life, screen, etc.

My question: I am unable to figure out how to access the Trash Can. I do not see a Files Icon or Trash Icon under the Apps (the other phone we have is the Droid X, it is great and easy to find all this stuff). How do I get to the Trash Can?

If the answer is access it as a subfolder, how do I find the folders? I can find how to create a new folder or look at contacts, but that is about it.

I don't know the Vortex, but I don't think these phones have a trash can. I think when you delete, they are gone.

While you are in mail press the menu button (far left button on bottom of phone) in menu press on folders - this will show you your folders for mail.

Yes, as previously stated, Android doesn't have "trash can." This is nothing like a Windows for example.
