This bit of news from DxOMark just goes to show how far smartphone camera tech has come over the years. The phones keep getting better and better, to the point where none of them shine far above each other anymore. The latest LG G5 tests are a great example of this trend.
According to DxOMark's testing, the LG G5 got the same total score of 88 as the HTC 10 and the Samsung Galaxy S7. Each device's camera has a few subtle areas where it either excels or falls short of the others, but the aggregate scores all end up the same. This shows that the differences are not significant enough to hamper most users' overall camera experience with each of these devices.
It's going to be tough for smartphone cameras to get much better than they already are, without significant improvements in miniaturization of the complex parts. Sound off and let us know which of these devices you own or are considering owning, and feel free to share your camera samples.
