Samsung has capitalized on the big phone market (aka phablet) and we have seen other manufacturers follow from Apple to Google. There is a leaked image of the LG G4 Note which is a phablet that will sport a stylus similar to the Samsung note devices. They really need to smooth out the UI, not saying it's laggy, but it's jerky if that makes sense. Ergonomics have been their strong suit lately and hopefully they don't mess with that too much. And I agree.....why the heck would you name it the Note...

I liked the G3. Never owned it but I think it's the best lg smartphone.

I've been running VS982.5 on it for a couple months now. It's a slimmed down G3 ROM on the G2. I'd trade it for a Note 4, but that's about it.
