Let's hear it, Crud in the micro USB receptacle

On my last phone, the Samsung Alias, there was a very slim cord receptacle and would easily get crap in it and eventually Verizon couldn't pull my info to move to the Droid.

So today I'm looking at getting another USB cord for my work laptop for when I need to tether and I was looking at the small receptacle. For all of you with your various uses, jobs, and lives in general, how do you find it holds up to staying clean? I can see how it would easily get crud in there causing connectivity problems without any kind of cover for it.

Fortunately, I haven't had this problem yet, but I suppose when it does happen I'll use a can of compressed air(carefully).

I thought all the crud just kept getting pushed further and further in the phone until it got zapped by the droid eye...hmm

Honestly, I haven't had a problem as of yet. Although I wish I could get the crap out of the earpiece from the one time I ever put the Droid in my pocket while I was waiting for my Seidio Innocase.
