Launcher Pro question

So I downloaded launcher pro and I can't figure out how some of you customize the hell out of your Droids, all I was able to do is get some new widgets, change their sizes, and modify the dock, that's it.... How do you get themes on it, etc? Should I get adw instead?

Adw is more themeable yes. Lp I find more functional. But it can still look pretty darn good imo. What are looking to achieve?

Honestly, I don't know. I really just wanted to play around with it. Would I be better off getting adw if I wanna be able to customize more?

Adw has more themes definitely. Launcher pro is cleaner. You could just put a theme over your rom and use launcher. If you are on the new update, skin with squidly's fullblur...no wipes needed and works great

Also from what I have heard is, adw leaves a smaller memory footprint.

Most themes that you'll see people on here referring to are ones that require root. This especially concerns any of the icons in the status bar/notification bar (like the signal ones, battery, etc) as well as its color.

I have LP on an unrooted phone... but mine is FSU themed up pretty good.

Desktop visualizer allows you to switch up a lot of icons to theme related stuff.
