Launcher Pro question

Alright I know I'm probably just being dumb or blind, but where the heck is the "new contact" button in launcher pro? I've looked asl over the contacts section and can't find it. Its starting to annoy me.
Please only reply if you have a real answer for me.
Thanks

Like if I meet a person and want to put their number in my contact list. If I leave LP and go to the contact list its right there at the top, but in the launcher I can't find it

I may be misunderstanding but I don't recalling that as being a feature of lp. You could perhaps drop a shortcut to the action of new contact I guess. Let me dig around for a second.

Really? I find that strange that something like the ability to add a new contact would be missing

Well the ability to add a new contact falls on the contacts app not the launcher. A launcher is just like a desktop and it essentially serves only as an access point. There may be a way to drop a shortcut to that action however. Was this a feature you used on a previous launcher? Again I may be misunderstanding.

Yeah I don't think you're getting what I mean and I don't know how else to put it haha. I just want to add a contact to my address book and I can't find any way to do that through LP besides making my own shortcut.

Ok yeah that's what I thought. I'm fairly certain that you would have to create your own shortcut. Lp doesn't have a pre made new contact shortcut. What I would try doing is long pressing the home screen and the choosing shortcut and then activities. Then scroll down and find contacts and look to see if there's a new contact activity.

I did find a rather roundabout way of doing this by just putting in a phone number in the dialer and then hitting menu>add to contacts. I suppose it works well enough haha. Thanks for the help

Put the contact app on your dock. Then hit that and add a contact.
