Icons change in launcher pro

So i just started using launcher pro free on my droidX and I think it is the source of my problem. The app icons are becoming monitor with gears. The only icons that do this are located on the sd card as well as in launcher pros folders. I have found a temporary fix to this by switching how many home screens I have. This is what makes me think its launcher pro. Has anyone else experienced this icon issue? Its not the end of the world for me, just a little annoying.
