Probably because Tapatalk hasn't been updated in forever, and isn't really working so good with Oreo & Pie. Probably explains why so many of us are / were getting the "Tapatalk is running in the background...using battery..." pop-up after updating to Oreo. Maybe a missing permission with Pie?
