Laptop/MacBook for Droid Razr?

I am planning on getting either some type of MacBook or some other laptop for my birthday. I prefer Apple MacBooks over PC or Dell laptops but I may be up for a change. I will mostly be using my laptop for internet browsing and syncing with my Droid Razr. Please give advice on what you recommend. Biased or factual, all information will be helpful.

I've always used Windows. They do have that lapdock for the Droid RAZR, you might want to check that out. It's like a laptop running on your own Android OS.

I've been thinking of getting the Lapdock but I don't like the part that sticks out of the back of it and does it work without having your phone plugged into it?
