lacking in terminology

This should be a simple search but I guess I am used to the terminiology on my old BB.

I need an app or a setting that will turn off all notification sounds at night, and of course for nap time. Is there a way to turn off all sounds except for the ringer on the phone?

You can search using the keyword "profiles". It applies to both Android and BB's. There are plenty of profiles apps on Android and some of them offer automatic time-based switching.

I'll throw in the obligatory "Tasker can do this".
