Keyboard not popping up

Ive had no real problems with my droid x (other then new-user-error) but now i am unable to post on a forum that i have been posting on.
normally i would touch the big white box where the type goes and the virtual keyboard would pop up. until a few days ago i had no problems, now no keyboard. im using opera browser so i tried the default browser and same problem.
ive been using the default KB so i tried swype and purr and still no KB.
i cant make the KB not pop up any other time then when im using this 1 forum, guildportal.com, if that helps at all.

I am sorry that I do not have an answer to your situation. However, I am going to ask that this thread be moved to the Droid X section. Hopefully someone there has had this issue and can help you further.

You have tried the usual .. power off/on .. power off/battery pull/power on?
What else has changed on your phone ... apps??

I tried rebooting, pulling battery, everything but try to restore factory settings.
Ive only had the phone for 12 days, and this problem for about the last 5. Coming from a BB storm, everything is like mac to a pc user. I haven't had any other apps act funny. I did get about 3 random reboots over the weekend. None happened while i was in the middle of anything tho.

Can you get the keyboard to come up if you long press the menu button?

has the forum undergone any changes? the dx may not recognize it as a text input box
and +1 to holding the menu button, the kb will definitely pop up, it's whether or not you get a cursor that will be the problem

holding menu key in opera brings address bar down and back up real fast.
I figured id try it in the default browser and the keyboard popped up like normal. I thought I've been trying it on both.....
The site works fine from every pc I have tried it on.
So I guess its an opera problem. im going to reinstall it and see.

EDIT. unistall and reinstalled both opera mini and opera browser same problem. trying to see when opera updated last.
