Keyboard apps

Hey all,

Curious to as if anyone has found any good replacements to the native keyboard? I haven't found any thus far that I've liked more, but I'm still on the hunt.

Thanks

Swype is great. At first I thought it was awkward, but now that I've used it exclusively on my Droid and Droid X, I can't live without it.

smartkeyboard pro is a winner.

Hey Chris, have a link to this? Not seeing it on androidlib ...

Thanks
I've been using Smart Keyboard Pro as well on my Droid and Droid X and it's the best. If you're searching be sure you're putting the space between "Smart" and "Keyboard".

I tried Swype and I hated it. I can't see the letters that get hidden under my fingers and it's awful on the large X screen in landscape. All IMHO. I'm much much faster on a normal keyboard and Smart Keyboard Pro is a huge improvement over the stock keyboard.

Try swiftkey which gives better word prediction.

Click sound of swype is a bit too loud for me. I like the fact that one can adjust click sound volume in swiftkey.

Awesome ... so far so good. I like being able to long touch a key for the numbers, this is what I was really trying to find. Unless someone says there is better, I'll roll with this.

Thanks!

Smart keyboard pro is unfortunately a paid app on the market but I honestly feel its worth it. If you like the iPhone keyboard its in the app. So is the HTC keyboard. The big advantage of the app is that the spacebar is normal sized in relation to the keys its big.

Am I dumb, or is "Better Keyboard" not in the market? I see a ton of skins for it ... seems promising.

I like swipe because it seems to be forgiving. However, I see no navigation keys. So that, if you want to make an insertion or manually correct a mistake, you have to put that target exactly in the right place which can be difficult to do, which is where my frustration lies. So I am looking for a keyboard app that has navigation.

Spent the last couple hours playing with every different one I could find and ended up with "Better Keyboard". Definitely liking it.
